Where We Work

Kas Therapy Room

Therapy Room

I offer a welcoming, professional space for us to work together. The therapy room provides a good setting for you to open up and work through what you'd like to, without judgement.

Outdoors

Nature has the power to transform our emotional and mental wellbeing.  Most of the time, we benefit from getting outside and taking in the benefits of nature. Walk, talk and wheel offers us an opportunity to connect you with a new perspective.

Online

With online therapy, we can work together no matter where you are. With Zoom, we can connect from the comfort of your own home, office, or even while travelling. It is important to keep yourself as safe and secure online as you would anywhere else.

Ways of Working

What do we work on first? This is totally up to you. Sometimes we don't have the words for why we're feeling a certain way and we can explore this at your own pace.

No subject in your life is off limits. We have that persistent feeling that something isn’t right, we can’t get our thoughts together and everything is too ‘noisy’. This is a safe, confidential time and space for you.

We all need someone to listen and hear what we're saying. It’s incredibly powerful voicing your thoughts in a truthful considered way. One of the main aims of therapy is to develop self awareness that can help create positive changes.

I'm a pluralistic therapist and I work in an integrative way - with psychodynamics, the past and subconscious, present - the here and now and what you know best about yourself, and the future, CBT and other working on ways that can actively help you.

I adopt a holistic approach in our work together, taking mind, body and spirit into account. I think incorporating creative methods as necessary is important, since we all think differently.

We work with weekly together in 60 and 90 minute sessions, especially initially.

I know it’s not always simple to put yourself first. If you've felt that visceral pressure in your body and it seems like you’re almost always on the verge of tears, you’re not alone - many people feel like this. You know yourself best, if you feel medical intervention is required then do seek it out. What is Counselling & Psychotherapy, Holistic Coaching and Creative Therapy?

Counselling & Psychotherapy

Many people wonder about the difference between counselling and psychotherapy. Generally, counselling is seen as a shorter term therapy focused on helping us cope with specific challenges. Whereas psychotherapy is seen as longer term that aims to promote deeper and more meaningful changes in our lives. In broad terms, I use a blend of psychodynamic, person centred and CBT approaches which I'll happily talk you through.

Creative Therapy

Creative Therapy

We understand that everyone’s healing process looks different. I'm open to using a variety of expressive arts therapies to help you express yourself in the way that works best for you. Whether that be writing, art, music, nature, or something else, let's explore ways that will help you to express yourself and ultimately be the best version of yourself, as you perceive it.

Holistic Coaching

I believe in looking at the whole person and exploring other aspects that you may be interested in. I'm open to using a combination of methods that work best for each unique individual. These may include existential therapy, meditation, breathwork, oracle cards, energy work and more. There are aspects of our lives that we can incorporate that we don't always talk about. We discuss what is appropriate as our work develops.

If you're curious about therapy and want to learn more about the process, contact me. There are no silly questions and I'm happy to provide more information on how we can work together.
